Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Bus Aide. As a Bus Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their transportation to and from school. Duties:
Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely - Ensure students are seated properly and wearing seat belts - Monitor student behavior during the bus ride to maintain a safe and respectful environment - Communicate effectively with the bus driver, school staff, and parents/guardians regarding any concerns or incidents that may arise - Provide support to students with special needs, including assisting with mobility devices and implementing behavior management strategies - Maintain cleanliness and orderliness on the bus, including regular disinfection protocols - Follow all safety procedures and protocols established by the school district
Requirements:
Experience working with students, preferably in an educational or childcare setting - First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school staff - Knowledge of special education practices and strategies is a plus - Ability to manage conflicts and behavioral issues in a calm and professional manner - Comfortable working in a classroom-like setting within the bus environment We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for professional growth within our organization.
