Bartlett Bearing is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to order supplies and product based on our companys needs. Purchasing Assistant responsibilities include researching vendors , tracking deliveries and updating order records (e.g. dates, invoices and discounts). Ultimately, you will make cost-effective purchases and ensure we maintain a fully stocked inventory.
Responsibilities
Process supplier shipping reports to update system with ship dates
Expedite and maintain supplier Purchase Orders.
Supplier/ Vendor communication regarding pricing, lead times, Issues/complaints, and damages
Run Open PO reports, identifying extended lead times
Communicate with sales on product ship dates
Involvement with working purchasing suggestions for warehouse stock and converting and sending purchase orders to suppliers
Running daily reports
Other duties as assigned
Skills
Ability to deliver crisp communication both written and verbal that can be understood at all levels
· Organizational skills
Requirements
1 year experience in Purchasing role
MS Excel and Office proficiency
Strong attention to detail
Ability to learn and multitask in team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
