The Warehouse/Logistics Assistant Manager position is a key role that includes assisting with the operations of the warehouse, inventory control, and material handling, as well as internal/external customer service, parts sales, and transportation. Staff scheduling and supervision are also included.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

Assist the Manager with planning and organizing the Warehouse as a distribution center, focusing on efficiency in both operations and capacity
Organize transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from the point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary
Coordinate and track the movement of goods out to field staff and customer sites
Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule
Maintains quality throughout the logistic processes
Assist with hiring, training, and performance management of Warehouse Associates
Schedule Warehouse Associates to meet the demand of deliveries and incoming shipments
Assist with shipping and receiving as needed
Maintain accurate inventory controls
Work with Department Managers and Project Managers as needed on forecasting to ensure efficient operations
Observe and enforce all safety rules and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation. This job also requires the use of machines and hand tools necessary for warehouse work.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, exempt position. Standard days and hours of work for Warehouse operations and staff are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.TravelParts deliveries and company vehicle transporting as needed.Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
4 or more years of previous warehouse experience preferred
Communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
Supervisory skills
Planning and Logistics skills
Works well independently and as a team
Dependable and Reliable
Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills

Preferred Education and Experience

OSHA safety training
Quality Management
Deadline driven

Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)

Criminal Background Check, PA Child Welfare clearance, and FBI fingerprinting clearance required
DMV check
