Horsham Center for Jewish Life is looking to hire a Central Supply Specialist to administer the distribution and inventory of resident care supplies in accordance with facility policies and regulations.


Job Responsibilities
To assist in providing supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, facility policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times
Deliver emergency supplies and medical equipment as needed.
Fill requests from departments for routine supplies and equipment.
Ensure inventory is updated as required, when receiving/issuing supplies and equipment.
Organize storage and catalog location of supplies and equipment for efficient handling and to prevent deterioration.
Stock the supply room, nutrition room, and clean utility room on each floor.
Label and stock shelves in the medical supply room.
At different times of the day, may be requested to make special trips to the floor when something is needed.
Deliver packages to staff and residents.
Reports to the Director of Materials Management.
The Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
Previous long-term care experience is preferred.
Must be knowledgable of medical equipment used in the long-term care setting.
A physical examination and/or evidence from a physician indicating freedom of communicable disease to be available upon employment.
Ability to work independently or part of a group.
Effectively communicate with others.
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 4 feet and be able to push, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 2 feet.
