HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
As a Continuous Improvement Practitioner, you will be responsible for consistently improving the overall efficiency and functioning of Dejana end to end Operations. This includes implementing innovative solutions to address identified problems/constraints, developing and implementing improvement plans, providing assistance for employees by analyzing data. The CI Practitioner is responsible for the execution and support of the continuous improvement initiatives in the area of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and the elimination of waste and inefficiency inherent in our processes.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as a change agent in the organization by driving change and implementing continuous improvement processes, while utilizing and improving existing methodologies:

Lean and Six Sigma Tools
Change Management
Project Management

Simultaneously manage multiple projects of medium to high complexity to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
Utilize various Root Cause and Problem-Solving methodologies to ensure identification and elimination of problems.
Conduct robust process analysis to identify and resolve risks and constraints in the manufacturing/installation value streams.
Assist and/or lead Kaizen events and other continuous improvement projects involving production, facilities layout, inventory control, quality, and transactional processes.
Assist in developing and Implementing S.O.P.s and provide training for shop floor associates.
Provide exceptional internal customer service.
Use all required PPE and follow established safety procedures at all times.
Domestic travel, approximately 25-50%, primarily within the Northeastern Region of US.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

B.A. or B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Business preferred.
Lean and or Six Sigma Certification.
Lean Training Required, Six Sigma Training Preferred.
Experience in truck equipment or automotive industry inventory control, parts sales and service, with exposure to shop floor processes preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Organizational, detail, and follow-up skills.
Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to train, coach, and mentor others.
Ability to multi-task.
Moderate experience using Windows based programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office and manufacturing floor setting with exposure to varying sound and temperature levels as well as exposure to dust and odors. Use of PPE including safety glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection is required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Approximately 25% - 50% travel required (domestic). Will mostly be in the Northeast US regions.
