Role Summary
The IT Procurement Category Lead is an important position within Holmans Global Procurement team. The IT Category Lead works with the respective IT disciplines to identify high performing suppliers and negotiate favorable commercial terms in line with business strategy. A successful candidate is a self-motivated, strong communicator, with the ability to pull different ideas together and challenge the status quo.
Principal Purpose of Position:

Engage IT leadership and subject matter experts to lead efforts to determine the most appropriate solution (build vs buy vs subscribe and hybrid)
Work closely with the businesses to align products and services with well-defined requirements, business priorities and overall IT strategy
Work closely with individuals within IT that retain responsibility for day to day vendor management. Solicit feedback on vendor performance (cost, quality and execution) and follow up with resolutions including recommendations including SLAs, alternate supplier utilization or other innovative procurement strategies.
Engage Legal, IT Security and others as needed to manage the complete review of agreement terms and conditions to minimize business risk.
Innovation - Identify opportunities to collaborate with key vendors to develop new offerings.
Work with category leaders to network externally with vendors and professional organizations related to their accountable business line.
Lead, support and manage the bid process for large purchases.
Manage the procurement process within their accountable business line, ensuring that all Company policies and procedures are adhered to by personnel involved with the procurement function.
Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Relevant Work Experience:

Approximately 5 years of IT procurement experience preferred.
Additional IT experience a plus
Experience implementing strategic sourcing plans in support of business unit operations (balancing cost, risk and performance).
Advanced understanding of P2P, strategic sourcing and vendor management
Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis.

Education and/or Training:

Bachelors degree required in related field; Masters degree preferred.
CPM, CPSM or equivalent preferred (or willing to pursue)
Key Competencies: IT, Data Spend Analytics, Procurement, Project Management, Clear Articulator, Strategy Development, Colloboration.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
