The Supply Planning Manager is a site-aligned position in the Vogue Planning organization responsible for providing leadership to a team of Professional planners that play a critical role in the delivery of key metrics Customer Service (Unit Fill Rate), Inventory ($ and DOS), and Plant Execution (Schedule Adherence/Agility/CS&OP). This position works cross functionally with Demand Planning, Operations, Sourcing, Transportation, Project Management, and Finance to co-ordinate these activities. This position reports into the Global Senior Supply Manager and is involved in setting the direction for the NA Supply Planning Team and Vogue Display Project Planner.

Ensure employees under your scope of responsibility are trained in required procedures for the execution of their role and maintain current with training requirements during the year.
Promote an environment of employee involvement in the workplace.
Seek prompt identification, reporting and correction of deviations in the workplace as noted by employees.
Lead a wide range of functions including, inventory management, sales and operations planning, capacity planning, trade customization supply and identifies and implements process improvements.
Develop strategic plans to guide portfolio reliability and ensure continued service improvement for long term performance.
Be responsible for leading a complex portfolio of products, including products with high levels of promotional volumes, a diverse set of internal and external manufacturing sites and alternate customer channels, and/or a high degree of demand seasonality.
Develop a team of Supply Chain planners (including Vogues Display Project Planner) and Business Leads to ensure supply planning for the full SAP horizon.
Balance inventory and supply planning while maintaining targeted customer service levels.
Provide appropriate metrics and reporting data to monitor performance of inventory management, capacity, customer service, site performance, etc.
Lead special projects related to product launches, line extensions, and various supply chain initiatives.
Develop strong customer relationships within the region with key business stakeholders and play a key role in driving success in product execution and delivery.
Contribute to the development and implementation of ERP based planning processes, and will be accountable for demonstrated use of ERP in and production planning to improve department efficiency.
Develop a communication strategy across the internal and external sites that have bulk transfers or dual sourced codes in order to streamline and improve overall planning processes.
Support the JNJ Change Control process including providing deliverables, reviewing, and signing off on change controls.
Support and execute the material discontinuation and deactivation process in a timely manner.
Serves as backup to the Global Supply Manager and as primary Supply liaison with Demand Planning and Operations in the US.
Responsible for optimizing supply chain performance through collaboration with stakeholders on such variables as demand shaping, scenario planning and constraint management.
Maintain employee development plans, performance reviews and succession plans for their staff and will work with other managers to continually develop organization design improvements for the department. This individual will be an active leader and participant to ensure execution of regional initiatives as it pertains to recruitment, development and retention of talent in the region (e.g. selection, performance management, succession planning, development planning, retention planning, etc.)
Performs other project and business support duties as required.
Qualifications
A Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent is required. A degree focused in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred. An MBA is highly preferred.
A minimum of 8 years related experience required.
Supply chain planning experience preferred.
People Management experience preferred.
Experience with ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) & Advanced Planning Systems is preferred.
Ability to lead work initiatives effectively across a broad range of cross functional groups, leading cross functional/ virtual teams where required.
Ability to develop, coach and guide a leadership team in the execution of strategies and realization of functional and company goals.
Highly effective communication & presentation skills.
High level of demonstrated influencing skills and to forge collaboration across all levels of the enterprise & externally.
Ability to develop, coach and lead a team of supply planners, supply team leads and a display project planner in the execution of strategies and realization of departmental and company goals.
Deep understanding of impacts of Plant Operations, Purchasing, Distribution, Customer Service, Financial Planning, Marketing Planning, Trade Promotion Planning and New Product Planning. Required
Prior S&OP exposure is preferred
Ability to work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly and tight deadlines exist
Demonstrated measurable results in executing strategic and tactical plans to meet goals and objectives
Ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms.
Ability to drive & apply continuous process improvement tools and complex projects.
Uses in-depth knowledge of analysis and problem solving techniques. Attention to Detail.
Very analytically skilled, need to understand the statistics and forecasting techniques behind the models.
Certification from an accredited Transportation and Logistics program preferred (APICS, IBF)
