Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the management of all disposable materials for availability, expiration, and stocking levels required for all clinical departments.
Essential Functions:

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
Take inventory as needed to maintain supplies for testing. Works with department supervisor to establish par levels for patient testing supplies. Track expiration dates and recalls on all products. Place orders in appropriate system. Put all supplies away according to department lot number system.
Track supplies for expected delivery date and investigate delays. Investigate all backorders. Work with purchasing, lab management and vendor on replacement items or supplies as needed.
Reviews and resolves all ordering discrepancies such as ordering number, pricing, etc.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 2 years inventory experience in a health care environment.
