Job Purpose:


Candidate must be able to perform a wide variety of tasks. This person must be able to count, read, match numbers, have basic computer skills, be able to operate simple machinery and drive a forklift. The position requires the ability to communicate and work closely and efficiently with others in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. Parts Controller organizes, sorts, checks for inaccuracies and delivers new and used parts associated with the manufacturing/modification of containers.



Job Summary:


This position reports to the PODS Supervisor. The ideal candidate should possess good oral and written communication skills, including good typing, basic computer skills, legible handwriting and the ability to distinguish between similar part codes. Detail oriented and team player.



Responsibilities:


Accident prevention actively identify, correct and/or report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
Actively identify and pursue cost reduction and efficiency/profit improvement opportunities.
Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Sea Box Quality Policy calling for self-inspection of your work product.
Put away parts, accurately pull parts for work orders and inspect all parts stocked and pulled. Locate difficult part items and through experience, observation and available resources. Verify the proper identification of parts when stocking to and pulling from shelves and match that id to other parts in the same location.
Create inventory sheets and transport with identified parts to the warehouse for stocking.
Follow daily inventory control procedures and participate in inventory counts when needed.
Control quality by properly cleaning, identifying and inspecting component parts prior to putting them into inventory.
Pick up and deliver parts locally as required as needed assist internal customers who need parts pulled for work orders.
Act as runner for builders, pulling parts and delivering internally for in-process priority work orders.
Be capable of performing basic equipment maintenance and housekeeping duties including organizing and keeping the work area clean and safe.
Work closely with management to learn and to develop the best practices and procedures and find ways in which to increase productivity.
Communicate with supervisors, warehouse department employees and other departments any issue related to performing the duties of this position.
Use a computer to bill out parts to employees as needed.
Driving trucks as needed
Inspect product load for accuracy, and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
Move controls to drive gasoline- or electric-powered trucks, cars, or tractors and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
Weigh materials or products, and record weight and other production data on tags or labels.
Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines.
Turn valves and open chutes to dump, spray, or release materials from dump cars or storage bins into hoppers.
Signal workers to discharge, dump, or level materials.
Performs general labor duties when needed
Lifting production objects of up to 50lbs.
Performs other duties as assigned
Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner

Skills/Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred



Experience: The candidate should possess 1-2 years related experience



Location: This position in onsite (non-remote) at the Companys corporate headquarters in Cinnaminson, NJ. This position may occasionally require working overtime and/or working outside of the Companys normal 8:30am 5:30pm hours of operation.
