What you'll do:
As the Transportation and Logistics Supervisor forUtilimaster(A Shyft Group Brand) based at our facility inLandisville, PA, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, troubleshooting production problems, and planning and designing manufacturing plant floor layouts to ensure equipment and materials are located and coordinated efficiently.
The nature of your role will involve constant interaction with our manufacturing team, and you will be expected to participate in the daily GEMBA. You will also partner with operations to help make logistical improvements and design solutions to solve hands-on issues such as tooling and equipment repairs.
You will also be accountable for:

Supervising your team of Transportation and Logistics Team Leads and Associates
Educating your team on the 'Plan for Every Part' methodology and guiding them in its application
Building and implementing innovative materials management processes
Establishing clear expectations and ensuring accountability through servant leadership
Maintaining productivity, reliability, and accuracy standards for the department
Improving policies and procedures that will become standardized across your team
Building and nurturing relationships cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and quality teams
Staying attuned to customer requirements and new changes in support of assembly
Implementing corrective actions when failures occur within the flow of materials
Supervisory administrative activities such as vacation and timecard approvals, overtime, hiring, and training

Relocation assistance to the Landisville, PA area is available for non-local candidates.
What you need to be successful:

High School Diploma or GED
Two or more (2+) years of Transportation and Logistics experience within a complex materials environment
Project management skills
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and network applications
Up to 10% local travel

You should be proficient in:

Recruiting and Training Experience
Budgeting / Forecasting Experience
Leadership / People Management
Bachelor's Degree

Salary info:
$33.65 - $38.46 / hr
