Sgt-Scrap is a Scrap yard that offers CASH in hand for different materials that range from steel, copper, aluminum and brass. We weigh and pay our customers on the spot at our locations. Something the differentiates our business from our competition is our Mobile Service and it is highly sought after. As a Mobile Pick-Up Driver, you would be offering this service to our customers. You will be given multiple pickups for customers on any given day, and you will have to facilitate
- Maintaining Truck, This includes the scale you should test it often against the scales at our facility
- Sorting of customers scrap metal
- Writing all information on a ticket, legibly
- Weighing scrap
- Paying them cash
Receipt is to be given to the customer at the end of the transaction. You will be taking down all their information off their license. This is a physically and mentally grueling job as you will be working entirely inside and around your truck year-round. You have been warned and if you do accept this job, you will be expected to work in these conditions.
There are two shifts that we offer our Mobile Drivers, a morning shift and an evening shift.
Morning Shift is 7:00am-5:00pm
Evening Shift is 9:00am-7:00pm
These shifts are subject to change and shift due to the wants and needs of the company.
The range of pay is based off your experience which is anywhere from $18-22 dollars an hour. We offer our Drivers a base pay of $18 Dollars an hour during their training period with no experience which only goes up based on your ability. Once your training period is over and you are on the road by yourself your pay will increase to 22 dollars hourly. You also do not need to have experience driving a box truck we are willing to teach you.
Tips will be offered from customers and it is okay for you to accept. Tips are not expected! But they are appreciated, and our drivers tips range from anywhere to $100-$600 a week. DO NOT COUNT ON THIS ! We are not responsible for any tips and we are only responsible for your base pay nothing more.

-Ability to lift 80-120 pounds above their shoulders
-Availability to work Saturdays IS A MUST
-Ability to work 5-6 days of the week.
