Scrub Daddy is looking for Full-time International Buyer for our corporate office in Pennsauken, NJ. The International Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing products, services, or raw materials outside the country. Buyers work with a wide range of industries, including manufacturing and retail.
The ideal candidate must be able to identify opportunities for value-added purchases that will help the company succeed in the marketplace and possess strong negotiation skills to get the best deals possible on these items. This position will be on-site.
Preparing purchase orders for items that have been approved for purchase, ordering samples of products for further evaluation by their company.
Develops and maintain relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.
Reviewing price lists and catalogs provided by suppliers and contacting them to request additional information about their products or services.
Negotiates contracts with wholesalers and suppliers. Negotiating prices, terms of sale, shipping arrangements, and other details of transactions with suppliers, assessing financial risks of purchases
Researches, analyzes, and forecasts current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products with attention to specified target markets and demographics.
Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their products, and determine pricing strategies.
Establishing long-term business relationships with suppliers and fostering mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.
Attend trade shows, product exhibitions, and conferences to maintain an understanding of new products and trends, if needed
Performs other duties as assigned.
International buyers must negotiate with suppliers to get the best price on products. This is a crucial skill for international buyers because it can help them save money and increase profits for the company.
Cross-cultural communication: International buyers often work with suppliers from other countries, so its essential to communicate effectively with people from other cultures.
Budget management: International buyers need to be able to manage their companys budget strategy effectively. Ability to determine the most cost-effective options for purchasing goods and services.
Product knowledge: A thorough understanding of the products we are purchasing, including the products specifications, the materials, and the quality of the product.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business, international business, international relations, international economics, international studies or international finance economics, or a related field preferred.
One to three years of experience required.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to travel regularly to trade shows and retail locations.
