Job Description

BROKERAGE SALES SPECIALIST

Virtual/Remote Position located within the defined region (preferably PA). This position is responsible for recruiting, contracting, training, and driving sales of independent insurance agents/agencies for our Brokerage Division, and works closely with sales leadership, sales support, operations and insurance carrier partners. The assigned sales region includes NY, NJ, VT, MD, CT, DE, and PA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities are inclusive of, but not limited to:

Engaging and contracting new insurance agents by presenting Medicare and ancillary products available through UIG. Answering questions and providing support regarding commissions, contracting, products, sales tactics, training opportunities as well as the marketing and enrollment tools available to UIGs independent agents.
Responsible for driving new sales of existing and new agents.
Maintaining all aspects of building the agent relationship, including record keeping, communications, training and updating information in the agent CRM database.
Prepare timely and accurate sales reports by collecting and analyzing information.
Ensure adherence to CMS guidelines and internal policies during all sales and marketing related activities.
Develop and implement sales/marketing/recruiting plan for assigned region.
Conduct carrier and product training for new and existing agents as well as coordinate and promote carrier lead training.
Identify potential new carrier/product partners.
Have a strong knowledge of Medicare and the Senior Market, as well as other health and ancillary products.
May require some travel.
Contributing to team success by working with all employees and departments.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

3+ years of sales or agent recruiting development experience in the Medicare market.
Existing agent and agency relationships in assigned territory.
A comprehensive understanding of Medicare plans and the senior health care market.
Exceptional computer skills, experience with CRM systems, HubSpot, Excel, Word and Outlook
Very detail-oriented, ability to focus in a busy, energetic environment
Team player and collaborator with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
High impact individual who is able to think independently, make decisions quickly, and have the confidence and drive to be successful

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSING

Associates degree in Business or a related field or equivalent experience*
Current Health Insurance License or become licensed within 90 days of employment

*Equivalent experience equates to two (2) years experience in direct agent recruiting in the Medicare market with demonstrated ability to meet sales goals. This experience must be over and above the years of experience specified below.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
