Job Summary û Commissary Driver

Specific Expectations:
McCaffreyÆs Drivers are responsible for safely and efficiently loading and delivering company prepared foods, catering orders and materials from our Commissary Warehouse location to our stores and customer events.

Essential Functions:

Follows product and pre/post product delivery checklists are completed in a timely manner.
Monitor twice daily property cooler and freezer temperatures, notifying management of issues and promptly moving product into a proper area.
Maintains truck operating efficiency and cleanliness and informs management immediately of any noticeable problems with the vehicles.
Ensures that all product and materials received at the Commissary are transferred to proper storage as quickly as possible and/or delivered to appropriate personnel.
Ensures that all food products and materials are handled with care and are properly prepared for shipment to minimize damage.
Make on-time deliveries within a set delivery time window.
Promptly and respectfully communicate and/or report customer requests to management
Maintains receiving area, warehouse and shelving in clean, neat and safe conditions including proper garbage disposal in dumpsters.
Assists in loading and unloading truck product of varying size and weight manually or with a forklift and with pallets as needed.
Properly load store racks and returns to Commissary on a daily basis as assigned.
Miscellaneous tasks at the Stores or Warehouse as needed.
Maintain and wear a clean Company issued Uniform.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as food racks and shelving and operation of a company truck.
This position is performed in outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, rain and snow.


Physical Demands:
This position is very active and requires the operation of a motor vehicle, standing, walking, lifting, bending, kneeling and stooping during each scheduled work shift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Hours of Work: Variable to include early mornings, evenings and weekends and high volume seasonal scheduling needs

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Be able to obtain a Medical Card
Own or be willing to purchase a working cell phone
Possess a valid driverÆs license and proof of insurance
Clean MVR & background
Must be able to pass a drug test
Need to be able to work a flexible schedule


Preferred Education and Experience:

CDL License
Forklift Certification
Operate pallet jack
