Job Description

The Organization: Who is Emancipet?
More than a career, its a movement. Emancipet is a rapidly growing non-profit veterinary care organization on a mission to make veterinary care affordable and accessible for EVERYONE. Inaccessibility of veterinary care has deep and tangled roots in other complex social problems like poverty, racism, and economic inequality. But were working to change that. For over 20 years weve been building up a national network of low-cost veterinary clinics that provide low-cost, high-quality, and compassionate care in underserved communities. Our clinics have the power to transform communities into places where no one ever has to forego veterinary care for their pets because the cost is out of reach.
We are dedicated to building and supporting a diverse workforce. We are committed to applying a social justice lens to our work by evaluating and ensuring that our systems, policies, practices, language, and programs create equitable access, opportunities, engagement, and inclusion for all people, and people from historically marginalized groups in particular. We strive to live by our values and be an organization where the culture created by our diverse staff and board advances our mission and vision, and supports organizational excellence and sustainability.
The Department: Who is Research, Data, and Analytics?
Its not what we do but how we do it that makes the difference. Emancipets Research, Data, and Analytics (RDA) department supports our operational teams in achieving our three bottom lines Quality Medicine, Transformative Service, and Financial Sustainability by providing timely, approachable access to data and information. We do this by focusing on three areas of innovation and exploration: how to deliver quality patient care at a low cost, how to interact with our clients and the communities we serve to drive social change, and how to structure and run a business model for sustainability and scalability.
We are a small but highly collaborative team. Some of us live and breathe data integrity, analysis, and reporting in support of internal decision-making. Others focus on translating internal learnings into relevant insights for the broader field. All of us live to chart uncharted territories and love to help guide others along the way.
