Livengrin Foundation is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor. The Counselor will be responsible for providing direct clinical services to individuals and family members who have been affected by chemical dependency, psychiatric problems and/or co-dependency issues and will function as part of multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Responsibilities:

Functions as a Case Manager for existing patient caseload.
Responsible for maintaining clinical chart including, but not limited to Intake and Assessment, Diagnostic Summary, Treatment Plans, Progress Notes, Consult notes, Discharge Summaries, Continuing Care Plans and other documents as is required.
Coordinates services, including precertification, concurrent reviews, and making necessary referrals within confidentiality guidelines and practices.
Conducts educational seminars to patient population in a professional and competent manner.
Provides individual, group and family counseling sessions to patient population and their families in a professional and competent manner.
Attends staff meetings, trainings and committees as requested.
Assists in marketing functions when appropriate.
Responsible to meet all Federal, State and Local confidentiality requirements at all times.
Provides other assistance as requested.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree from an accredited college preferred.
Must hold a professional license through the PA Department of State or be credentialed through PCB at the time of hire or be actively working towards licensure or certification through the PCB.
Knowledge of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment and/or ASAM criteria required.
Ability to handle physical workload.
Ability to build rapport with patients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership qualities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $46,000.00 per year
