PURPOSE OF JOB: The Development Communications Manager is responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and promoting high-quality content for print, web, and visual media to effectively communicate the mission and vision of Doylestown Health Foundation (DHF), the One Vision Campaign, and the Centennial celebration. In this capacity, s/he is responsible for project management of Doylestown Health Foundations print, web, and visual media.
The Development Communications Manager directly supervises and provides strategic direction to the Development Coordinator, Communications and Events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: -Bachelors Degree required in Communications, Journalism/Professional Writing, Marketing, or related field.
Experience:
-A minimum of five years of related experience is required.
-Extensive knowledge and experience in copywriting, editing, and Associated Press (AP) style.
-Use of best practices in print and web design, social media, and communications
-Direct experience in philanthropic communications for Non-Profit and Volunteer organizations and the healthcare industry is preferred
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite is required
-Knowledge of WordPress content management system and SEO strategies is preferred
-Graphic Design experience required
-Working knowledge of photography and videography editing
-Must have professional, collaborative demeanor and use excellent judgment in working with executive-level faculty, board members, and donors
-Working knowledge of Blackbaud products, especially Raisers Edge and Online Express (OEX)
-Experience with social media management software such as Sprout Social, and e-mail marketing systems such as Constant Contact
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE DEVELOPMENT COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER:
-Provide clear, concise, engaging copy and creative solutions in Graphic Design, Print Materials, Direct Mail, E-Communications, Web, Advertising, and Video to achieve brand and fundraising objectives
-Support Director, Development Communications and Events as well as members of the Foundation team with writing, design, creative conceptualization, and execution to ensure communication strategy and goals are met efficiently and effectively
-Write copy, design, and oversee all aspects of Doylestown Health Foundations Website, E-Communications, Advertising, Visual and Social Media, and Media Relations
-Execute effective written communications to meet the strategic and tactical goals of Doylestown Health and Doylestown Health Foundation, the One Vision Campaign, and Centennial celebration
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $64,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
