PURPOSE OF JOB: Doylestown Health Foundation is seeking an innovative, collaborative and detail-oriented individual with the energy and passion to serve as the new Development Specialist, Corporation and Foundation Relations (CFR). The CFR position works closely with the Vice President of Development and the Director of Development, and will oversee the Corporation and Foundation Relations program of Doylestown Health Foundation including all of the grant writing activities. Donors and donor prospects that are assigned to the CFR include private foundations, family foundations, government funding, corporations and local businesses. The CFR position is responsible for securing major and sustaining gifts through personalized communications, grant proposals, and face-to-face presentations, as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Drive strategy for corporate, government and foundation fundraising efforts
-Participate in each step of the moves management process as it pertains to corporate, government and foundations funders, including identification, qualification through research, cultivation, solicitation, and executing prompt follow-up, stewardship, and recognition
-Actively engage and demonstrate an understanding of mission, values and goals of Doylestown Health and Doylestown Health Foundation
-Work as a collaborative member of the Foundation Office, supporting fundraising activities, special events, communications and other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience:
-5 years non-profit fundraising experience, preferably with grant writing in a health care setting
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to work in a cooperative manner with a diverse group of internal and external groups to achieve collective goals
-Strong understanding of fundraising concepts and best practices required

Other Skills:
-Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, as well as Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Raiser's Edge and Research Point database experience preferred
-Experience with Guidestar and other grant research tools preferred
