ABOUT ESPERANZA ACADEMY
Esperanza means hope. Esperanza Academy Charter School (EACS) is located in the Hunting Park section of North Philadelphia and prides itself on serving the students in the community in which it is located. During the 2022-2023 school year, Esperanza Academy will serve grades: K, 1, 4, 5, and 6-12. Esperanza Academy believes that education can be a vehicle for social and economic progress for marginalized communities. As a result, we are relentless in our pursuit to provide our students with the best educational option in the Philadelphia area.
Our proven track record of academic success with historically underserved students sets us apart. The Academy has 11th-grade test scores above the city of Philadelphia average and value-added math and reading proficiency growth is among the highest in Pennsylvania. Students graduate at a rate exceeding 90% and drop out at a rate of only 1%. For seven out of nine years, our high school has been ranked as one of the Best High Schools in the country.
By the fall of 2024, we will have fully expanded to a K-12 school serving over 2,400 students. This expansion will result in Esperanza Academy being the second-largest single charter school in the city of Philadelphia.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Esperanza Academy Charter School is seeking to fill an immediate opportunity for a Bilingual Administrative Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer. We seek a task-oriented, organized, effective communicator who is passionate about supporting positive change in underserved communities. As a representative of the Office of the Chief Executive Officer for all stakeholders, this team member serves as the embodiment of the Academys values. The administrative assistant provides direct administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, supports school-wide systems, and serves as a resource for all stakeholders.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A passion for education and a belief that your zip code does not dictate your destiny.
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience providing administrative support to a high-level executive.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish are required.
Prior experience working in education or a non-profit agency is preferred.
A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university is required. (Official transcripts showing the degree conferred are required prior to the starting date of employment.)

Spanish fluency is required.
