Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states.
We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join our Fiscal team and work with the CFO, VP of Accounting, Controller, Assistant Controllers, and accountants to ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting. The Accounting Supervisor will be based out of our Newton, PA office and will occasionally be expected to commute to our headquarters in Princeton, NJ.
Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of Staff Accountants.
Direct, motivate, delegate, and empower staff in the successful performance of their tasks and responsibilities while encouraging innovation.
Approve Accounts Payable invoices and T&E for assigned regions.
Prepare, review, approve and post journal entries to support month-end close.
Analyze and monitor balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Review semi-monthly payroll for validation of allocations and budget.
Prepare grants/contracts billing and assists with billing inquiries.
Review and analyze monthly variance reports before internal management distribution.
Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual cost reports as required by funding sources.
Prepare, enter, and maintain budgets in accounting software.
Approve of Divvy card request from regions.
Manage preparation, submission, and payment of sales taxes.
Prepare and provide account reconciliations for compliance and annual audits.
Assist with the compilation and review of FTE reports for each payroll cycle.
Monitor the preparation of monthly Vacancy Report for accuracy.
Prepare and monitor monthly PNA, Room and Board schedules.
Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
CPA certification and/or MBA preferred.
5+ years of relevant work experience.
Extensive knowledge of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation.
Demonstrated capability with budget development, fiscal management, strategic planning, and staff management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset, a self-starter who can function independently, and as part of a team.
Excellent record-keeping and file maintenance.
Ability to prioritize with excellent time management skills.
