Description
Workforce Development at Rowan College at Burlington County is in search of energetic and creative individuals who can design, develop and deliver instructional sound training programs for business and industry professionals, in the following areas:
Conversational Spanish
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
English as a Second Language
Computer Skills
Organizational Leadership & Culture
Communication
Customer Service Training & Sales
Workplace Violence Prevention
Conflict Resolution
The position requires demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies in related fields of specialization, Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills, Ability to use technology in education as appropriate to the subject matter. As applicable, certification in your area of expertise, or ability to obtain prior to first class. The ideal candidate should be organized, possess a strong work ethic, and have excellent relationship management skills.
This is a needs-based, per-diem, position and requires the candidate to have reliable transportation to travel to the Mt. Laurel campus and off-site corporate clients in the Southern New Jersey area. Class schedules may include day, evening or weekend schedules,
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Consult with internal and external customers and business owners.
Analyze performance needs and gaps, design, develop, implement, and deliver instructional sound training programs.
Utilize a variety of learning mediums (instructor-led, computer-based, blended) to deliver training.
Keep accurate records of training sessions and participation logs.
Ability to present information in one-on-one and group sessions to a diverse population from entry-level to executive management.
Must adhere to the code of confidentiality in certain cases where discretion should be.
OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Required:
Bachelor's or higher degree in subject area. Will consider an AS degree or industry relevant certification(s) with strong work history and demonstrated subject matter expertise. Professional designations or certifications as appropriate to content being taught required.
Experience Required:
3+ years professional work experience in the subject area and 2 years of corporate training or facilitation experience.
Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements:
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, able to work well under tight deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively,
Excellent communication skills both oral and written with analytical skills.
Excellent customer service and solid negotiation skills.
Understanding of adult learning concepts and behaviors.

INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college. Employee Classification: Part-time
