Responsibilities:
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Responsible for leading Human Resources for three US manufacturing facilities. As a business partner to the leadership teams, the incumbent leads a variety of Human Resource initiatives to support the accomplishment of key goals and objectives. Acts as key change agent in support of various plant and commercial business organizational process improvement efforts. Works with the business to foster an environment focused on promoting enhanced organizational efficiency, communication and understanding. Interacts with managers and plant personnel daily to ensure HR solutions are implemented and results are achieved. Works closely with commercial/functional and plant management/supervisors; partnering with them to resolve critical people and business issues.
Responsible for HR functions, including implementing policies and programs, recruiting, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and organizational development, employee relations, and Workers Compensation.
The role is supported by our COE on compensation & benefits, talent management, talent acquisition and our HR shared service center Colleague Connect.
Works on problems of diverse and complex scope across multiple facilities, within a matrix environment.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Provide input to the evaluation of people practices and policies on employee morale including the employee engagement survey and their impact on meeting the organizations objectives.
Develop a value enhancing culture throughout the business that is team based and customer focused as well as managing employee relations issues that arise effectively and efficiently.
Implement consistent and defensible process for fairly dealing with disciplinary issues in order to protect Company interest.
Coaches managers and supervisors regarding employee relations issues. Implement consistent and defensible process for fairly dealing with disciplinary issues in order to protect the Company interest. Investigates concerns, evaluate/offer possible resolution, provide work related advice, guidance and direction to resolve employee grievances/complaints.
Assists in the development of employees programs to ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees. Monitors employee separation notices, related documentation and exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
Identifies legal requirements/government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Assists in the development/implementation of Corporate and local HR policies and procedures.
Successfully manages the recruitment process for the business ensuring the highest caliber of colleagues are recruited by liaising effectively with line managers and determining their needs, while also partnering with the Talent Acquisition team. Works with management team to identify training needs/resources
Monitors the overall administration of employee benefits to ensure effectiveness that is responsive to employee questions.
Responsible for training record compliancy and management.
Partners with Compensation & Benefits department to conduct wage surveys within the labor market and analyzes wage and salary reports/data to determine a competitive compensation plan.
Implementation of benefits changes in the respective region in collaboration with the COE and shared service center.
Communicate and liaise with Managers and Supervisors on effective management of the performance management and appraisal systems.
Takes part in global projects

QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.
This role is expected to be on-site at our Plainsboro, NJ facility with potential for minimal travel to two other U.S. facilities in responsibility.
Bachelors (or equivalent) with a minimum of 8 years' experience in Human Resources including experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of working at both a strategic and operational level
Matrix HR support and multiple site leadership experience.
Solid knowledge of country employment law and current practices and trends.
Stays up to date on trends and developments within HR, the functional area as well as the medical device industry.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of organizational development with the ability to positively impact the structure, culture and effectiveness of the organization.
Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment laws and regulations.
Experience supporting multiple client groups and demonstrated ability in understanding the business while effectively implementing HR strategies to support business goals.
Strong interpersonal, communication and consulting skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
Ability to handle and resolve ambiguous, confidential and sensitive situations and issues of a complex nature.
Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and project management skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite, strong Excel skills are required. Workday experience a plus.
