Overview:Veeco is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for our Somerset, NJ, location. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for providing on-site leadership and support for a wide variety of activities such as employee relations, recruiting and selection, organizational development, and other HR Business Partner-related initiatives. You will be the onsite HR leader and report to the Sr. Director of Human Resources (located in Plainview, NY).
Responsibilities:

Act as the HR Business Partner for Veecos Somerset, NJ location. Provide HR counsel and support to the local leadership team on HR-related matters.
Work with the Sr. Director of HR to assess organizational capability. Deliver HR services and enable business leaders to meet their objectives.
Collaborate with other sites to ensure consistency in HR processes and services across Veeco.
Work collaboratively with corporate Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development to drive the global talent acquisition strategy and assimilation processes and programs.
Partner with corporate Compensation & Benefits to ensure consistency in compensation structures across the organization.
Direct activities and programs to support open and effective communication between management and the workforce to maintain a positive organizational climate. Alert management to developing issues and provide a barometer of employee morale. Collaborate with the site leadership team to facilitate change management activities.
Consult, advise and assist managers at all levels in maintaining and strengthening their effectiveness and the employees they supervise and in driving effective coaching, employee engagement, and satisfaction. Coach managers in the development and administration of effective employee performance improvement programs as applicable.
Implement practices in HR administrative areas that are efficient, effective, legally compliant, and consistent with HR systems established by the corporate office.
Ensure that the Company is and remains compliant with appropriate government laws and regulations. Keep management informed of HR-related legal issues. Help direct the efforts of management to maintain favorable employee relations and legal compliance.
Regularly evaluate organizational design and recommend strategies to optimize effectiveness.

Qualifications:BA/BS degree in an HR or Business-related field and a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success at the HR Generalist, Business Partner, or Manager level is required. Experience with a publicly-traded, manufacturing company is preferred. Advanced degree and/or professional certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Impeccable integrity
Strong judgment, situational awareness, analysis, and decision-making skills
ERP experience strongly preferred (e.g., Oracle, SAP, WorkDay, etc.)
Good computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required
Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills
Desire to work in a fast-paced, global, and dynamic environment
Ability to coordinate, organize and manage programs/projects across multiple time zones and countries
Ability to establish and foster healthy working relationships with all levels of the organization
Self-starter, detailed-oriented, and wants to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

The expected salary range for this position is $79,611 - $100,841 + bonus + benefits. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
