Hoshino USA Inc. is the United States distributor for Ibanez Guitars and Tama Drums. We have an immediate job opportunity for an Associate Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with the HR Manager to assist with the daily functions of the Human Resources Department, including hiring, training, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Essential Functions:

Reports to and works closely with the HR Manager and Vice President of Administration to complete HR functions.
Assists with recruitment, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Conducts and acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Implements new hire orientation and employee evaluation programs.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not limited to payroll, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, time and attendance, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Assists Finance Department with human resources related invoices.
Assists with maintenance, updating and implementing of company policies and company Handbook.
Assists with work visas for non-U.S. Citizen employees.
Assists with year-end related tasks and reporting.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

Required Knowledge:

Knowledge of or ability to learn employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems (iSolved and Assure).

Experience:
At least one year of human resources experience preferred but not required
Skills/Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
