General Purpose:
Assist the Human Resource Manager with human resources functions which include, but are not limited to: payroll, recruitment and staffing, and training. Ensures compliance with Federal, State and Local laws. Completes other duties as assigned.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete weekly timecard reconciliation and payroll processing for employees.
Handle highly confidential material in the human resources area.
Assist with the employee recruitment, hiring and orientation processes.
Assist with planning, communicating, and tracking of special events throughout the year.
Assist with employee training programs and data entry. Run reports as requested.
Maintain plant record retention program.
Perform data entry to support management team.
Provide back up to other administrative positions in the office
Assist management staff with administrative support
Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion and sound judgment.
Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity.
Attend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Safe Quality Foods (SQF).

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years previous HR or payroll experience


MS Office/Excel knowledge required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems, specifically SAP
Skill in proficient computer usage
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
Detail oriented, extremely accurate and ability to meet all deadlines
Able to adapt and manage change effectively
Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Able to read, write, and speak English
