Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist with outstanding people skills to support our growing organization. Our ideal candidate will assist with the day-to-day functions of the department with a focus on recruiting which includes supporting recruiting efforts, policy enforcement and employee issue resolution. You have years of experience with a Human Resources department that supports hourly associates, and you understand how to balance holding associates accountable while also providing them support and career guidance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage job postings, screening qualified candidates, and coordinating interviews.
Assist HR team with employee relations issues and ensuring accurate and timely documentation of concerns or issues.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, client, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Administer day-to-day HR related transactions including legal and regulatory compliance and policy administration/interpretation.
Help to complete ad-hoc projects and employee communications including open enrollment communications.
Manage and track FMLA, ADA, and STD claims/inquiries and address any issues or questions that may arise.
Manage Workers' Compensation process (including First Report of injury and Return to Work).
Assist managers with recruiting efforts, applicant tracking, status of applicants and job ad placements.
Supports employee recognition and retention programs.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
Enhance employee satisfaction by resolving issues/answering questions promptly, organizing new program offerings and team building activities.
Help manage client HR-related issues including understanding the issues, timing, sentiment, risk and client expectations. Work with the balance of the HR Team to ensure a complete, prompt and amenable resolution.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of an organizational culture that values a diverse, inclusive and equitable work environment.
Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; recommending best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance; advising management on needed actions.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves benefits and compensation and resolve any issues or questions that may arise.
Assist in maintaining employee files and records in electronic form.
Performs other duties as assigned by AVP, HR & Payroll.
Requirements:

Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Experience managing pipeline of candidates through job postings, screenings, and other related recruiting responsibilities.
Proven demonstration of effective human relations in a high-performance culture with a strong sense of customer service, excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of federal, multi state, and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEO, ADA and FMLA.
Three to five years of experience across several of Human Resources disciplines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS (Paylocity) and talent management systems.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
