Job Title: HR Data and Analytics Specialist
Asplundh is looking for an experienced HR People Data Analyst to join our amazing HR team. This role will work closely with the entire HR Leadership team, and provide expertise in people data analytics that generate data-driven insights across multiple HR groups and stakeholders. This role will be centered around principles of defining scalability and flexibility while leveraging strong data governance and data quality practices.
In this role, you will craft actionable insights based on the data gathered and assessed. You will help to systematize and scale existing metrics catalogs and develop potential metrics we could activate for forward looking, predictive analytics relative to supporting the organizational goals to attract, engage, retain, and develop talent.
This role will also serve as a 2nd level of support for matters related to our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
We are looking for someone who can think strategically, understand business, and how data supports the decision making that goes with driving an entire human resources function. The ideal person knows how to listen, ask the right questions, dig into the core of what s motivating a request and then make recommendations for solving problems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Collects and complies HR metrics and data from a variety of sources to generate reports and a comprehensive dashboard and presents and explains findings to leadership
Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations
Identifies and recommends reasonable short/long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics
Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates
Enhance our capability to analyze and make sense of large sets of data and translate findings in a visually appealing manner that tell a story and help us make better data driven decisions
Collaborate with members of Human Resources to identify, standardize, and implement data & analytics solutions, including enhanced tools and process improvements
Manages the ATS system by maintaining job descriptions and user accounts, working with external partners to enhance capabilities of internal TA & ATS tools, and providing user training as needed
Facilitates implementation of new training, development, recruiting, and other related initiatives
Ensure validity of data including identifying and reconciling discrepancies in intelligence from multiple reporting sources and/or systems and/or conducting period audits to improve data quality
Proactively seek out benchmarking and best practice sharing opportunities and implements industry best practices for accessing analyzing and disseminating data
Educate users of HR intelligence on how to access, utilize and discuss HR information, including group and one-on-one training
Provide reviews, assessments and recommendations for tools and technologies used to generate reports or streamline processes
Investigate, resolve, and perform follow-up tasks on complex system and data related opportunities as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in any related field or equivalent education/experience
Minimum of 5 years related experience in Human Resources environment working with data reporting, analytics, and insights consultation
2+ years of report development and dashboard building experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (pivo tables, conditional formatting, IF statements, etc.)
Proficiency with Power BI tools
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization s ATS HRIS and similar employee management software
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and frame and tell the story
with all levels within the organization
Track record of taking initiative and delivering results
Confidence to interact with the company s Executives and Leaders
Commitment to growing and developing professionally
Perform all other duties as assigned
