Posting Summary



Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Employment Coordinator for University Human Resources.


Among the key duties of this position are the following:


Provides guidance on faculty job postings processes via Applicant Tracking System; performs audits of faculty job postings.
Serves as the liaison between management, faculty-staff, and applicants regarding employment policies, practices, and procedures.
Provides guidance and direction to hiring managers and administrative staff in the handling of staffing transactions, including process and timing, documentation, approval, implementation and communication.
Performs duties as Background Investigation Coordinator under direct supervision, and is responsible for initiating and processing background investigations for faculty positions. Reviews background check results and notifies requester.
Serves as point of contact and researches system questions/issues, documents and determines solutions, and provides administrative support to the Talent Acquisition and Staffing team.
Provides customer service to job seekers via phone, and e-mail the employment process and system.
Strives to continuously offer excellence in service with the goal to make Rutgers University an employer of choice.
Participates in special projects as assigned.

Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of two years of experience in human resource management.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster upon eligibility and upload proof of same. Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
