This is a temporary position.

The employee benefits coordinator position assists employees with benefits enrollment and questions, verifies all insurance billing, maintains employee database and files, and ensures compliance with required benefit notices.


Duties/Responsibilities



Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions via phone, email and/or SolarWinds.



Follow up with employees who need to provide proof documents for their benefit elections.



Responds to benefits inquiries from administrators, managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries



Process Medical Support Orders and Insurance Verifications.



Enter employee termination information into COBRA vendors online portal.



Assist with weekly reports to track employees on a leave of absence



Handle administrative tasks associated with employees on leave of absence. For example: Reporting the leave, updating for return to work, following up for paperwork needed, updating timesheets etc. etc.



Respond to employee inquiries about Leave of Absence application process



Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts.



Run and deliver reports enrollment & termination reports for voluntary benefits (AFLAC, Legal Shield & WageWorks) and employee discount programs



Assist with Open Enrollment project as needed. (Could include testing, assisting employees with elections and obtaining temporary id cards)

Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws. Have a passion for customer service. Proficient in Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. The right person will be system and process minded, with an exceptional ability to think critically and drive efficiency. Able to manage multiple priorities.
