Job description: Princeton Community Village (PCV) in Princeton, NJ is seeking a Property Management Assistant to replace a promoted employee and to join our team. In this position, which begins in April of 2023, you will directly impact the quality of life of all residents in a multifamily residential community by helping PCV colleagues to provide a safe, exceptionally clean, and highly maintained positive environment.

The Property Management Assistant will assist:

-the Property Manager and Occupancy Specialist with the apartment turnover process, annual recertification, scanning monthly rent payments, new leases, and lease renewals

- the Maintenance Superintendent with scheduling work orders, maintaining inspection records, schedules, payroll administration, written and verbal communications with vendors and other outside entities and annual unit inspections notifications

- property management staff with responding to phone calls, voicemails, and e-mail inquiries regarding affordable housing, opening/sorting/distributing incoming correspondence, interacting with residents, vendors, and visitors, and performing general Clerical and Administrative duties, including, but not limited to, copying, faxing, mailing, and filing.

- the Property Manager in preparation for annual NJHMFA Management Occupancy Review.

- in responding to resident and applicant questions as needed.

The successful candidate will also attend annual fair housing and other relevant training.

Required Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience and increasing responsibilities in a multifamily residential property management setting in a similar responsible administrative role. Proficiency in written and oral Spanish is required. Must be adept with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) in English. Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification can be obtained after employment begins.

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar multifamily residential property management role. Familiarity with property management software such as RealPage or similar software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,500.00 - $70,500.00 per year
