Purpose: The Manufacturing Specialist handles the manufacture, repair, and refreshing of Lingraphica’s speech generating devices (SGDs). The Manufacturing Specialist follows all established procedures and processes, as well as accepted good manufacturing practices to create functional, high-quality SGDs that conform to Lingraphica’s specifications. This position works closely with the Supply Chain Manager and other Operations teams to ensure completed SGDs are available to support fulfilment needs. This position also works closely with the Product teams in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving manufacturing and other technical issues with our SGDs.

Qualifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Uses HubSpot (CRM) ticketing pipeline to document, track, and complete manufacturing requests.
  • Manufactures SGDs according to established processes.
  • Coordinates with the Supply Chain Manager on manufacturing schedules and inventory preparation
  • Works with Operations Assistant to assign and delegate manufacturing tasks when needed.
  • Completes Quality Control testing on all SGDs before releasing for fulfilment and identifies non-conforming devices and follows re-work processes.
  • Performs daily refreshes on returning loaner devices promptly.
  • Collaborates with the Product Support team to diagnose and triage devices returning for repair.
  • Documents and completes repairs in a timely manner.
  • Maintains on-hand loaner minimums by coordinating with the Supply Chain Manager and Fulfilment Specialists
  • Completes regular training with the Product Development team on hardware and software updates.
  • Proactively engages in ongoing process improvement and making processes more efficient.
  • Meets or exceeds Operations team goals and metrics; uses reports and audits to track productivity. 
  • Performs other duties as needed and engages in projects and workgroups. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong teamwork skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a desire to continually grow and expand their knowledge.

  • Experience in configuring Android, Windows, and iOS systems, preferred.
  • Experience using HubSpot or other CRM, preferred.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills 
  • Ability to quickly adapt to shifting departmental and company needs. 
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at once. 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Professional demeanor 

Additional information

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of office or administrative experience, required.
  • 1 year of customer or technical support experience, required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • In office: Work environment is that of a typical office environment. The noise level is low to moderate.
  • Remote Work: Incumbent may have the opportunity to work remotely at times, and is expected to maintain a safe, productive work environment with secure internet access.

  • Must be able to operate a computer with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Position requires lifting overhead, twisting, bending, and squatting to lift boxes or office equipment.  

Work Schedule / Hours / Location

  • Monday – Friday, 8 am - 4 pm or 9 am – 5 pm EST, located in Princeton, NJ.
