Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Job Description
We are looking for a receptionist to be responsible for greeting clients (patients), billing management, recalls and visitors to our office. You will be in charge of giving patients directions to various parts of the office, managing co-ordination between back office and front office, answering phones and taking messages, scheduling appointments, managing recalls and sorting and distributing mail.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as competency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Prior experience as a front desk receptionist at a dental practice is also helpful.
Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Responsibilities:

Greet clients/patients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.
Assisting patients in finding their way around the office.
Announcing clients as necessary.
Helping maintain workplace security by issuing, checking, confirming appointment, ensuring they are confirmed for visit.
Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including billing, copying, faxing, taking notes, and making sure all future recalls and appointments are planned.
Managing doctor calendar and ensuring it is filled with recalls whenever there are gaps.
Preparing billing documentation for insurance companies and sending them every day at the end of the day.
Answering phones in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary.
Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks.
Performing ad-hoc administrative duties.
Answering, forwarding, and screening phone calls.
Sorting and distributing mail.
Provide excellent customer service.
Scheduling appointments.

Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Requirements:

AssociateÆs or bachelorÆs degree in a related field.
Dentrix Ascend experience a plus
Prior experience as a dental office receptionist or in a related field.
Consistent, professional dress, and manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Good time management skills.
Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.
Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required.
