Fernbrook Farms Environmental Education Center is a non-profit 501-c-3 organization with a mission is to provide hands–on educational experiences for all young people by exploring the complex interconnectedness of our natural world. Our purpose is to educate children about food, agriculture, and the environment. We believe people should make meaningful connections with our natural world in order to become responsible stewards of local and global sustainability.

We are seeking summer camp counselors!! We offer a unique, engaging, educational, nature-based summer camp to help kids connect with nature and the varied ecosystems that are a part of our everyday world on our 230-acre working farm.

We are seeking enthusiastic instructors to help kids explore their natural curiosities in nature and discover the wonders that can be found in our forest, pond, meadow, creek, farm, and more. Instructors are encouraged to develop and implement their own activities everyday and work both as a team and autonomously.

In a given day an instructor's role could be defined as teacher, facilitator, counselor, comedic actor, naturalist, supervisor, janitor, emergency care giver, coach, or friend--often all at the same time.

We offer competitive summer pay and a fun work environment with opportunities to be creative! Instructors work five days a week, usually from 8 am to 5 pm and duties will include tasks without children that support our programs such as animal feeding, housekeeping, and other facility upkeep. Our summer runs from June 19th to August 25th.

Qualifications: Applicants should have experience working with children in an outdoor setting as well as a love of teaching and the natural world. Applicants should either have or be in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in environmental education, teaching or equivalent.
