Summary
C.A.R.E. For Me Children's Learning Center is looking for a toddler teacher with experience in early childhood education and a commitment to the field. Candidate must be committed to professional development, reliable and able to adhere to the hours and schedule given at the time of hire. Candidate must also have a CDA, be in the process of earning a CDA or be willing to pursue a CDA.
Duties
Implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
Lead children by example; encourage children to reach developmental milestones by modeling and interaction.
Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
Child Development Associates (CDA) or minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience working specifically with infants and toddlers.
High energy.
Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
A strong understanding of child development.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
Must be able to move around the classroom quickly.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, get down on the floor with infants and toddlers and respond quickly.
