Salary: Starting salary with 3 years of Special Education teaching experience, Bachelors Degree and Standard Certification is $69,000/yr. Salary is tiered based on experience and education.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will enjoy a flexible work environment that promotes work/life balance, while also being given the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a 1:1 personalized level of education for each student.



Empower Students Through Teachable Moments


The
Lindens Neurobehavioral Program is a highly effective residential treatment program for children living with severe autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities. Many of the children the Lindens supports also have coinciding behavioral health diagnoses and distinct medical needs. Families from across the country trust the Lindens Program to provide expert and progressive care for their child.



Bancrofts transdisciplinary team of experts including behavioral analysts, behavioral and speech therapists, psychologists, and advanced nurse practitioners work in partnership with the child and their family to build communication skills and increase independence helping children with severe autism reconnect with family, school, friends and the community.
Responsibilities:





Responsibilities


Assess students' individual abilities and create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Design and implement individualized student goals, utilizing curriculum and clinical resources
Develop and adapt creative, out-of-the-box teaching strategies to address each student's unique needs and abilities
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, support staff, and other educators, to ensure a holistic approach to each child's tailored educational journey
Provide a flexible, nurturing learning environment that fosters students' personal growth and self-confidence
Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and caregivers, involving them in their child's educational progress
Continuously evaluate and adjust instructional methods and strategies to optimize student learning and growth
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education



Qualifications:

Qualifications


Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
Standard state certification in Special Education
Strong ability to think outside the box and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
A deep commitment to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with diverse challenges
