The LifeWorks School is hiring Special Education Teachers to support our location in Doylestown, PA for the 2022-2023 Academic School Year. The position is Monday - Friday and requires a Special Education Certification in PA.
The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. LifeWorks comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes. Our unique balance of academic rigor and a continuum of evidence based educational/therapeutic supports make LifeWorks the regional provider of choice.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting.
Monitor student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods. Observe and record student progress daily.
Develop and monitor students IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attend IEP meetings, establish, maintain, and work toward student goals as outlined in the IEP.
Manage student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors level degree in Special Education and PA certification in Special Education is required.
Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting is highly desirable.
