The Division of General Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is actively recruiting a full-time Academic General Surgeon at the Associate Professor level, for Transplant Surgery Applicants must have a strong interest in clinical practice of general surgery patients and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. In addition, applicants need to demonstrate a commitment to scientific research in either basic science, clinical trials or health services research. Successful candidates will be expected to develop their interest into internal and extramural funding applications.
Candidates must be board certified/eligible in general surgery. You must also be eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey.
As an attending at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, responsibilities will include all aspects of patient care and medical record completion, teaching of students, residents and fellows via clinical patient rounds, Grand Rounds, attendance at and participation in departmental conferences; participation in community education programs and lecture series; submission of abstracts/manuscripts for publication in peer reviewed journals; and other duties as assigned by the Division Chief, Chair or Dean. Position duties will be to function as a General Surgeon at both RWJMS and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick and Somerset.

Eligibility for a booster against COVID-19 varies and is explained on the Universitys web site located at https://coronavirus.rutgers.edu/covid-19-vaccine. Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employees offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
