Job Description:
Our Lead Teachers at Federation Early Learning Services (FELS) are instrumental in creating an environment that supports a childs natural desire to explore, experiment, and discover. FELS has open Lead Teacher positions at our Gutman Early Learning Center in MontCo. And dont forget to ask us about our sign-on bonus! *
As a Lead Teacher at FELS, you will:

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs and daily lesson plans
Serve as an interdisciplinary team member contributing to identifying positive solutions and behavioral supports.
Foster a safe and healthy environment for children and other staff members
Ensure that appropriate discipline techniques are used amongst all staff and the childrens care needs are met.
Work with Child Development Specialist (CDS), supervisors, parents, and co-workers in making decisions and problem-solving concerning effective behavior support plans.
Assist children with daily living activities, including but not limited to meals, nap time, toileting, diapering, and personal hygiene as needed.
Organize classroom, including maintaining bulletin boards/posters/signs with important information for parents, to support program goals and contribute to implementing daily indoor and outdoor activities.
Establish and maintain thorough communication with parents through conferences, email, etc., regularly on an informal daily basis. Parent conferences are conducted at least twice per year.
Maintain progress reports on children's emotional, physical, social, and intellectual development.
Abide by all additional guidelines for childcare, child education, welfare, health, etc., as instructed by FELS.

What are a Lead Teachers skills and qualifications?

Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree, or CDA Certificate
At least two (2) years or a minimum of 2,500 hours of childcare experience
Ability to supervise staff effectively
Ability to speak, hear, read, write, and generally understand English sufficiently to give directions and communicate with both children and adults
