Role + Responsibilities
TriNova, a manufacturer's representative of Endress+Hauser, is looking for a Technical Education Specialist to support their northeast regions. As a Technical Education Specialist, you will train clients and employees in process instrumentation and controls. The Technical Education Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining local PTU®, developing training curriculum in the industrial instrumentation field, and facilitating PTU and onsite training events. The Technical Education Specialist must be extremely knowledgeable in their field and must be able to explain complex subjects in a clear and interesting way.
Conduct TriNovas instructor-led training classes.
Facilitate learning by providing effective instruction and evaluations of student learning
Work effectively with Training Coordinator, VP of Service & Training, and Account Managers to schedule and coordinate training classes.
Work effectively with Training Coordinator to maintain TriNovas IACET accreditation status.
Prepare student record documentation after each training class and provide documentation to the Training Coordinator.
Adhere to the training schedule and syllabus developed in conjunction with the Training Coordinator.
Learn and effectively use the TriNova training calendar system.
Provide support and advice to stakeholders relating to implementation of TriNovas training products, services, or solutions.
Provide TriNova products, services, and solutions overview at group seminars.
Develop and grow the TriNova training business by generating training sales while fostering long term relationships with clients.
Work closely with Area Presidents and Vice Presidents to further penetrate their local markets
Qualification + Profile
Degree with a focus in an Engineering field Minimum Associates degree; Bachelors degree preferred
8+ years of Instrumentation experience, 3-5 years of training experience, or a combination of experience and education
Working knowledge of Industrial Networks (Ethernet/IP, WiFi, Profibus, Fildbus Foundation, HART).
Knowledge of various adult learning principles and the ability to maintain accurate student performance records
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication, relationship building, and organization.
Inside and/or Industrial sales experience a plus
Approximately 75% travel is required for this position.
