Doc Bresler's Cavity Busters is looking for an experienced Front Desk Receptionist to work in our Northeast location. This is an immediate, full-time position. You must be able to work at least two Saturdays per month.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Checks in and checks out patients in a pleasant, professional manner.
Verifies and confirms patients appointment.
Verifies insurance and eligibility
Verifies and updates patient demographic information as needed in the computer at each visit
Creates financial treatment plans and reviews with parent or guardian
Collects insurance co-payments, non-covered services and outstanding balances at time of service
Books and reschedules patient appointments accordingly
Maintains orderly, efficient and timely flow of patients in a fast pace office
Answers patient inquiries in a pleasing, professional manner
Answers telephones, transferring calls and taking messages as needed and delivering to appropriate staff
Assists fellow staff members with training and/or other requests
Enters charges for procedures based on treatment
Records information on the ledgers and deposits accurately and neatly
Prepares for and reports at meetings as required
Maintains front desk supplies, and notifies management when low
Maintains strict confidentiality; and treats all staff, patients and visitors with respect
Develops and maintains a thorough working knowledge of computer systems
Performs other related work as required
Experience
Preferred experience in a dental office environment
Preferred experience with Dentrix software
Skills
Knowledge of dental office procedures
Skill in identifying and resolving problems
Ability to prepare records in accordance with instructions
Ability to exercise a degree of initiative and judgment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, coworkers and the public
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively orally and in writing
Knowledge of basic arithmetic
Proficiency in the operation of a computer and other office equipment
