Customer Service Representative
Metals USA is seeking a customer service representative in its Northeast Philadelphia PA facility. Metals USA is a solid, growth oriented, carbon steel (plate, beam and tube) distribution center servicing the defense, commercial, construction, aerospace and fabrication industries.
The Customer Service Representative responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by utilizing in-depth knowledge of company products, service programs, procedures and contracts.
Responsibilities:
Provides customer service to internal & external customers by utilizing knowledge of products, service programs and contracts.
Provides timely & accurate information to customers regarding order status & product requests, and provides resolution to product and service problems.
Generates reports to Purchasing, Accounting and Quality Departments.
Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
Assists the sales team with generation of profitable sales and on-time deliveries.
Identifies customersÆ needs to achieve satisfaction.
Reviews sales orders for accuracy, and generates inventory reports as required.
Manages incoming calls & customer service inquiries.
Maintains customer accounts, implements changes to existing accounts.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing relates results as needed.
Position Qualifications:
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience in customer service and/or sales preferred
Ability to communicate oral & written communication effectively
Ability to respond to time sensitive, problematic & precarious inquiries effectively
Ability to interface effectively with all departments to foster a success-oriented, deadline driven organization.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism & diplomacy to include telephone etiquette.
Good analytical & organizational skills, able to make sound decisions utilizing the data on hand.
Ability to adhere to standard office practices and procedures to include filing, customer service, attention to detail, organizational management and time management.
