JOB SUMMARY:
Navient has immediate openings for our temporary, work-from-home Remote Customer Service Representative. The Customer Service Representative role is a fast paced, high volume, inbound call/email center position. This role is responsible for providing prompt and accurate information in a courteous and professional manner to customers. Agents will be cross trained in both call center and application processing.

New hire training class starting on Tuesday, February 19, 2024
$16.00 per hour plus bonus plus bilingual differential (English/Spanish) of $1/hr with passing assessment results
Work from home on Navient provided computer equipment
This new role will be a fast-paced, high volume, call center position



This temporary position is not eligible for benefits.

REGULAR SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday 8-5 EST


Hours subject to change depending on business needs.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
This position requires the applicant to pass a Bilingual Assessment. Must be fluent in English/Spanish.
6+ Months experience in servicing customers with professionalism, diplomacy, and consideration for the customerÆs concerns
High speed internet access (Minimum 10MB upload speed, 100MB download speed)
You must use a provided ethernet cord and be hard wired into your server from the router/modem. You will not be able to use Wi-Fi or a hot spot.
Must have personal device (smartphone or tablet) to be able to download an Authentication App
Private workspace or home office free of distractions and outside noise
Must have the ability to show empathy and compassion when dealing with an upset, or difficult customer while maintaining professionalism.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fast learner, ability to maintain an in-depth understanding of the training curriculum
Excellent PC and internet navigation skills
Efficient time management skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Residents of the state of New Jersey preferred
Prior experience in a high-volume call center preferred
Detail-oriented with close attention to program compliance requirements, record keeping guidelines, and file closeout expectations.
Ability to perform mathematical operations such as calculating percentages and working with large numbers
Ability to use analytical skills to interpret and evaluate information
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Strong customer service skills and knowledge of customer service best practices
Ability to maintain confidentiality of program information
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet
