Job description
Available Schedule:
1. Monday-Friday, 11:00am- 7:30pm, weekend rotation required (One weekend per month)
Responsible for specimen procurement services at all client facilities within NJ, NY, Eastern PA and DE geographic area. Directs the activities of phlebotomists and couriers assigned to those facilities. Ensures that all draws are completed on schedule and in accordance with company standards. Interfaces with Regional Supervisor/QA Supervisor and Customer Service to ensure complete satisfaction as required.
Essential Functions:
Staffing

Recommends staffing levels to Regional Supervisor based on volume and anticipated new clients and/or loss of.
Ensures all assignments have proper coverage.
Assigns and ensures phlebotomists, diagnostic imaging personnel, and couriers tasks within established routes.

Department Procedures.

Ensures all hours and assignments are distributed fairly while ensuring efficient turn-around time.
Ensures all facilities and assignments arrive to headquarters by checking Labgen and other reports.
Ensures all Stats, timed draws, Image and daily scheduled assignments including specimen pick-ups are completed in a timely manner

Documentation

Ensures all reported absences are documented and submitted to Regional Supervisor in a timely manner. All documentation must state the date and time of notification, reason of absence and if any documentation was supplied.
Ensures all UTO, Redraws, etc. are reassigned, monitored and tracked per protocol on a daily basis.
Communicates all violations, follow-up, concerns, etc. to Regional Supervisor.

Compliance

Ensures adequate phlebotomy supplies are maintained at all times.
Ensures all employees adhere to all Corporate Policies and Procedures and Operating procedures.
Ensures timely reporting of incidents and accidents (e.g. Needlestick Protocol) and proper documentation associated with each is filed in a timely manner.
Ensures all client complaints received are brought to the attention of the appropriate Customer Service Representative, Q.A. Supervisor and Regional Supervisor.

Requirements
Education:

Requires high school or equivalent education.
Prefer 2-3 years experience in medical Front Office or administrative experience or training in a hospital, laboratory, or doctors office.
Some supervisory experience preferred.
Must possess excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette, knowledge or medical terminology, procedure, and diagnosis coding.

Technical Skills:

Be able to work a variable hours M-F and weekends are mandatory.
Successful completion of grammar exam (80% and above) and color-blind exam. (Skills and competency will be tested prior to start date.)
Must possess thorough knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
Must lead by example. Must follow all Company, Phlebotomy, and Safety Policies and Procedures, OSHA, and HIPAA standards AT ALL TIMES.
Must be familiar with commonly used computer software- Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
