Pediatric Call Center Secretary Pediatric Call Center
The Pediatric Call Center Secretary will:

Serve as central focus of communication for Patient-Care Unit
Transcribe Physician orders under the direction of an RN
Initiate, complete and maintain the integrity of the patient's medical record
Maintain logs, unit manuals and statistical reports, and complete forms as required by specific Unit
Maintain inventories and charge supplies.
Be knowledgeable of and initiate emergency procedures
Serve productively on Hospital/Departmental/Unit committees
Provide Unit specific orientation in accordance with standard procedure
Maintain Unit equipment
Perform Hospital-related and other departmental duties.
Transport medications to and from the pharmacy or pneumatic tube station and delivers the medications directly to a licensed caregiver.


Requirements:

Ability to read, write and comprehend caller information and to type, edit and data enter information in Call Center automated System with a significant level of accuracy.
Comprehensive understanding of unit policies, procedures and operations in order to assume non-complex administrative details and experience with computers and word processing programs.
High School education preferred and business environment work experience.
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of internal callers, patients and a various number of external contacts.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
Bilingual preferred.


Schedule: Part Time, Evening Shift: 2 Days a Week 4:30 pm 12 am, and Every Other Weekend a choice of 8 am 4 pm, or 4 pm 12am
