Full-time position(s) exist at Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics, PC, a premier subspecialty-oriented orthopedic group with offices in Langhorne, Pennsylvania and Lawrenceville, Hamilton, Marlton, and Princeton, New Jersey. Call Center Agent answers incoming calls and schedules office visit appointments, provides information to new patients, and routes and dispatches incoming phone calls to the appropriate party.
Qualifications:

High school diploma required
College education or trade school preferred
Minimum two years experience working in a physician practice scheduling appointments.
Prior call center experience helpful.
Computer literate, with advanced keyboard skills
Ability to work with patients and make them feel comfortable
Pleasant and professional demeanor on telephone
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Reliable and highly motivated
Bilingual/multilingual skills preferred

Essential Duties:

Answers incoming calls and handles and routes calls to appropriate parties within the company
Takes messages and creates tasks within the computerized system and sends to appropriate parties.
Speaks with all new and established patients and schedules office appointments
Using a telephone headset and computerized appointment scheduling program, schedules all patient appointments, according to physician-specified protocols
Pulls messages off the voice mail system from patients who wish to schedule appointments
Prospectively informs all new and established patients about the practices payment at the time of service policy, and ensures they understand they are to arrive with their referral form, x-rays, etc.
Informs patients of financial responsibility if practice is not on the patients insurance plan
Informs patients of the information needed by the Pre-Registration Coordinator; asks patient what is the best time to get a hold of him/her for pre-registration
Emails, mails, or faxes registration information to new patients.
Re-schedules all patients when the physician has to cancel office hours
Runs daily appointment schedules for all areas of the practice
Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA and other compliance regulations
Attends continuing education courses as requested
Attends all regular staff meetings
Completes all other duties as assigned by the Scheduling Manager, VP of Operations, or CEO.
