Stockton Veterinary Hospital is excited to announce we are seeking a part time veterinary receptionist to join our hard-working team in Stockton NJ.
Stockton Vet is a busy 3 doctor practice located in scenic Hunterdon County NJ, right on the Delaware river. Established in 2017, SVH is a companion animal facility focused on providing a new benchmark in community based medical care. We seek to provide this outcome by combining the highest standard of medical excellence, incorporation of the latest, cutting-edge tools, and a steadfast commitment to caring for our incredibly pet centric clientele. In addition to our 3 highly experienced veterinarians (20 years average) SVH also partners with Dr. Ting of Princeton Veterinary Services for advanced orthopedics (surgery performed on site) and Dr. Hamilton of Private Veterinary Specialties, one of NJs premiere oncologists.
We are seeking an individual who understands what it means to work shoulder to shoulder with our compassionate team of veterinary professionals in pursuit of excellence, care and humility. The right candidate will understand the importance of bringing these attributes to work every day, alongside a friendly attitude, willingness to learn, and desire to serve our tight-knit community.
We are open Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturdays 8am to 12pm. Within normal business hours we see a variety of appointments and our case load can be quite heavy!
This position is currently available half-time with half-day Saturday availability required.
Key Responsibilities

Communicating with clients both in person and on a multi-line phone system.
Monitoring e-mail communications and responding or fielding concerns appropriately and in a timely manner.
Scheduling new appointments.
Adding clients and patients to the system.
Confirming appointments for the following day.
Greeting clients with a warm welcome.
Checking patients in and out in a timely fashion.
Reporting back to the Doctor and Nurses about patient calls, concerns and triaging calls appropriately.
Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby and reception station.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
1+ years veterinary reception experience preferred.
Knowledge of basic patient care including but not limited to; vaccine schedules and preventative products
Excellent communication skills, positive, and empathetic.


Comfortable with animals of all sizes or temperaments.


Strong communication skills with the owners and co-workers.


Detail-oriented while being able to work quickly and efficiently.


Must be flexible and able to adjust the schedule based on the needs of the hospital.


Posses core principle values of integrity, honesty, and commitment.
