We are looking for a medical receptionist who will be responsible for coordinating the daily administration of doctors, staff, visitors, and patients. They will schedule appointments, answer patient inquiries, handle patient emergencies, and office administration. This position functions as an integral member of our healthcare team to deliver exceptional customer service to our patients and keep our offices running efficiently and smoothly. We are looking for a self -motivated individual that has experience working in a medical practice and with insurances.
Medical Receptionist Duties & Responsibilities

First point of contact for our patients. Sets the tone for a positive experience.
Exhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency, and care.
Schedules appointments and procedures, following standard guidelines.
Creates schedules for all offices and nursing homes.
Verifies patient information, while documenting in their Electronic Health Record.
Enter all patient demographic information and keep up to date.
Advises patients of their responsibilities regarding insurance and referral information.
Verify patient insurances, collect payments, and do benefit checks if needed.
Answer phone calls, direct to appropriate team members.
Timely review and completion of tasks assigned.
Opens and closes office for business hours.
Assists healthcare office duties; insurance calls, authorizations, and insurance investigations.

Medical Receptionist Requirements & Skills

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience with Medical Insurance; verifications, authorizations and phone calls.
Experience: Prior customer service or insurance experience preferred
Certificate/License: HIPAA Training, but not needed, will train.
Computer knowledge a must. Our office is technology heavy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and OneNote
Must have the ability to adapt and follow practice guidelines.
Must have the ability to multi-task and be detail oriented.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
