Your Role as our Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Relations Specialist:As a Front Desk Receptionist, you are the first point of contact for our patients. You are the person who sets the stage for the experience the patients will have when they call and walk through the door. The receptionist will make sure our patients receive a great experience from the time they show up, to the time they leave their appointment. Working alongside our experienced and FUN staff, youll be an important part of a clinical team who strives for excellence by focusing on quality, service, and delivering outstanding patient satisfaction. The Receptionist will be the hostess with the mostest and the cheerleader for our waiting room- ensuring that our patients always understand their visit, their payments, their follow-up appointments, and are always provided with an unbeatable positive, patient experience.
Responsibilities:

Greeting patients with an unbeatable welcome and cheery attitude
Monitor and maintain the reception area
Ensure that all patients are happy, relaxed, and updated while waiting to be called back for their appointment
Register new patients
Assist patients in completing forms and documentation
Verify and update patient information
Enter all relevant patient information into data system correctly and efficiently
Inform patients of dental office policies and procedures as needed
Move patients through appointments as scheduled
Answer and manage incoming calls with a positive and upbeat demeanor
Respond and comply to requests for information
Schedule patient appointments
Confirm upcoming appointments as needed and reschedule broken appointments
Organize referrals to other medical specialists
Dispatch lab work appropriately
Collect and receipt payments from patients at time of treatment
Inform patients of financial treatment plan options
Arrange payment schedule with patients
Understand and abide by OSHA and HIPPA patient privacy and confidentiality compliance regulations

Education & Experience:

Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis
Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
Working knowledge of dental insurance
Knowledge of general administrative and Clerical and Administrative procedures
At minimum, a general education degree or high school diploma
