Position Purpose: The Patient Care Coordinator performs a variety of reception, insurance, and data entry duties for patients/parents in an engaging, welcoming, and warm manner. S/he answers telephones, schedules appointments, handles patient finance at time of service, maintains patient records, and coordinates patient flow through office. S/he helps to promote a safe, pleasant, and harmonious environment for the team and patients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Open Office

o Unlock doors, lamps, and turn lights on

o Turn on electronic equipment in front area (computer, tv, radio)

o Retrieve messages from answering service and voicemail.

· Greet patients on telephone and in person.

· Answer telephone and triage phone calls.

· Schedule and confirm patient appointments.

· Input patient data and documents into WinOMS.

· Manage daily schedule to maximize productivity and staffing.

o Maintain cancellation list.

o Follow up calls to broken appointment patients.

o Preparing the patient schedule for the following day

· General Clerical and Administrative duties

o Fax, photocopy

o Tidy patient areas and workspace

· Financials

o Collect monies due at time of service.

o Bring all checks to team member responsible for bank deposit.

o Prepare End of Day numbers.

o Petty cash money counted and recorded daily.

· Close office

o Print and delivery night call to doctor(s).

o Balance end-of-day deposit sheet.

o Lock doors.

· General:

o Perform any reasonable request from manager and/or doctors.

o Responsible for complying with OSHA, HIPAA security, and privacy policies at all times.

o Writing Patient and Doctor Thank you notes.

Skills and Qualifications

· Proven receptionist experience

· Excellent written and verbal communication skill

· Ability to multitask and manage time wisely

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Experience refining and developing processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
