We are looking for a qualified full-time medical office manager to run our 3-physician gastroenterology office. You will be responsible for day-to-day operation, budgeting and maintaining medical and staff records. As a medical office manager, you should demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to perform well in stressful situations. Our position requires knowledge of healthcare systems operations. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure steady workflows and uninterrupted service in our office.

Responsibilities

Open mail daily, review and pay bills, use Quik Books, reconcile bank accounts monthly, liaise with accountant
Bi-weekly payroll reporting with outside vendor
Work with outside vendor for 401(k) and profit-sharing plan; bi-weekly deposit and annual reporting
Prepare financial and performance analysis of practice as requested
Order supplies and manage vendors
Develop and implement office policies and procedures
Supervise 5-person office staff and fill-in for emergencies, create and monitor physician and staff schedules, perform staff evaluations and reviews
Maintain medical and staff records and work with outside vendor to ensure practice management and EMR systems are up-to-date and functional at all times
Liaise with doctors and staff to identify potential office dysfunctions
Prepare patient encounters for outside billing service, verify accounts receivable and payable, monitor patient recalls
Monitor physician licensing, hospital privilege requirements, and credentialing with insurers
Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws, state employment laws, and respond to any issues which may arise with outside agencies
Oversee all quality programs (Tandigm, MIPS, etc) to meet metrics and update physicians on new guidelines
Other responsibilities as they may arise

Skills

Experience as a medical office manager
Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative processes and principles; knowledge of Excel and Quik Books
Ability to handle medical records discreetly; good computer skills and proficiency with any practice management and EMR system
Knowledge of medical issues and ICD-10 terminology
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multi-task, solve problems, and think critically
Knowledge of HIPAA and labor laws and Medicare and commercial insurance regulations
Have up to date knowledge of Covid19 procedures and protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
